Approximately 90% of the UK public gets occasional headache, and millions have severe recurring headaches. Up until now the primary treatment for headaches has been pharmaceuticals. This workshop seeks to familiarize you with a safe non-medication alternative for the treatment of tension and migraine headaches using EMDR.

Programme Goals and Objectives:

To provide a professional overview of current practices of headache treatment.

To train participants in the use of integrated EMDR treatment of recurring headaches, how to reduce frequency, duration and severity of future headaches.

Dr Marcus has 30 years of clinical experience and maintains a private practice in Los Altos, California.  He co-authored the 1997 and 2004 studies of EMDR Treatment of PTSD in an HMO setting. Dr. Marcus’s research demonstrating the efficacy of Integrated EMDR to rapidly treat migraines can be found in the 2008 EMDR Journal.

• The EMDR Workshops team teach EMDR in the format designed by Francine Shapiro, continually updated by her and by the requirements of EMDR Europe.

• The EMDR Workshops team were originally trained by Francine Shapiro and are amongst the most skilled and experienced in the UK and Ireland. They have a specialist knowledge of teaching this remarkable method for use by UK and Ireland practitioners.

• EMDR Workshops support trainees throughout their training. This support includes three free email supervision sessions and an opportunity to attend a series of specialist master classes to update and improve your skills, or to help you adapt EMDR for your particular work setting.

• After training EMDR Workshops can support you in working towards becoming an accredited EMDR practitioner and after that an accredited EMDR consultants.
